Who we are
We are scientists, scholars and students of Afghan-German origin who feel connected to Afghanistan and its people through scientific curiosity.
The members of DAUG are united by their many years of scientific experience in and about Afghanistan in their concern that a high-quality scientific education is forward-looking for the education of future generations in Afghanistan.
The heterogeneous backgrounds of the members, which is reflected in their different scientific disciplines, enables interdisciplinary cooperation for projects, plans and awards for universities, scientists, teachers and students in Afghanistan, which takes into account the diversity of Afghan scientific backgrounds. A number of German-Afghan science projects have been developed from this cooperation, which, in addition to research and teaching, also promote the further qualification of Afghan teachers and students.
