We are committed to promoting higher education institutions and universities in Afghanistan. We support Afghan students, researchers, teachers, and academics on a smaller scale by funding projects and recognizing outstanding achievements with the DAUG Award.
WE believe
The German-Afghan University Society (DAUG) was founded on the initiative of scientists from German and Afghan universities with the aim of supporting academic reconstruction at Afghan universities after September 11, 2001.
Despite the difficult political situation, we believe that education is the key to a better future. Education is a human right that should not be restricted by political circumstances. We promote and support Afghan scientists and students so that they can make a long-term contribution to the development of their country through qualifications.
